CCVC Invites All Veterans to Monthly Meetings           

The Citrus County Veterans Coalition invites all honorably discharged veterans, their wives, widows and widowers to their open business meeting on the 4th Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. in the County Veterans Service Office class room at the Citrus County Resource Center in Lecanto next to the V.A. Clinic. Come see what the Citrus Veterans Coalition is all about and if you feel you can assist in the “Veterans Helping Veterans” program please come on board as a member.

We are a service to needy veterans organization providing food supplements and non perishable foods through our “Veterans Food Pantry.” We are providing assistance to needy and disabled veterans and their families with minor repairs to their homes through the generosity of volunteers who are in the plumbing, electrical and construction industry. We are also providing funds for annual scholarships to veteran family members who apply through their school counseling services. We have also assisted in the CFCC building fund recently.

If you are looking for an organization that devotes all of its energy and fund raising to the philosophy of “Veterans Helping Veterans” then the Citrus County Veterans Coalition wants you! Annual membership donation is just a $10.00 during a calendar year or $25.00 for 3 years. The CCVC is a 501(3) (c) corporation and your donations are tax deductible. Current members should check their membership card for expiration dates and renew with John Ring at the meeting. Come on back and get involved.

The next Veterans Benefit Yard Sale is set for May 9th at Our Lady of Fatima Church on U.S. 41 South, Inverness from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The yard sale has grown to 120 spaces and reservations are on a first come first served basis by calling Richard Floyd between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday at 352-726-5031. Spaces are a $10.00 donation per space and we welcome all non perishable food donations at the registration tent on site so bring some food for the Veterans Food Pantry.  This will be our final Yard Sale until September.
