We usually have a nice variety of dry, canned and frozen goods (cereals, rice, canned vegetables, soups and meats) for those in need. Just drop by, fill out a basic information sheet for our records (we respect your privacy, of course), show your DD-214 and/or VA picture identification, and you're all set.
We understand how difficult it may be to ask for help, and the compassion and privacy you'll find with our volunteers will quickly put you at ease. We have all been in need ourselves, from time to time.
If you need food assistance, or if you know of a local veteran who does, don't be shy about it - please call Susan Turner at 352-637-6206, see a member at one of our meetings or ask any volunteer during Food Pantry hours (Tuesdays, 9 a.m. - noon).
In an extreme emergency, we will deliver for food or make arrangements to meet you at the food pantry building.
